1.Brush and floss your teeth, of course!
Brushing your teeth twice a day is necessary after a while of having food. It wards off all the leftover food particles stuck in your teeth that might lead to tooth decay or cavity.
Do not brush immediately as certain acidic food might react and cause teeth erosion.
Brush your teeth gently in small circular motions for two minutes every single day. And floss to remove all the particles stuck between your teeth.
Oil pulling helps keep teeth healthy by and removes all the toxins from your body as well. It’s an old age oral hygiene technique and has been effective.
Coconut oil suits best for oil pulling. Swish 1 or 2 teaspoon of liquid coconut oil for (10 to 30 minutes) in your mouth the first thing in the morning. Wash your mouth thoroughly and then brush your teeth regularly.
3.Orange/ Banana peels
The compound called d-limonene present in these peels of orange or banana promote teeth whitening.

Add a more a pinch or a little more of salt in baking soda in water to make a paste. With help of a toothbrush brush your teeth with this paste for 2 minutes and wash your mouth. It will remove the stains from your teeth. Many toothpaste brands have these ingredients in their toothpaste and have been effective ones.
The same can be done without salt. Gently brush your teeth with baking soda, add few drops of water if you want.

5.Increase calcium in your diet
Calcium is equally important for your teeth as it is for your bones. One of the causes of discoloration is lack of calcium in the body; it might be a reason of your enamel eroding.
The enamel eroding exposes the layer under it which turns into yellow. And hence, you smile yellow.
Add more of milk, cheese, buttermilk or yogurt in your daily meals to increase calcium intake.
6.Eat more fruits
Fruits and vegetables to your diet as it helps to improve the overall health. Fruits like pineapple and strawberries have been effective for good teeth health and keep them strong.
It will give a glistening finish to your teeth as well.
7.Reduce sugar intake
Food items are artificially sweetened with lots of sugar causes tooth decay and cavity. Avoid eating candies and sweets that are coloured and have high amounts of sugar.
Although, due to lack of studies one cannot firmly say that these remedies work and are effective for all; many have been useful and has proven to be effective when practiced for many days.
